I am what some would refer to as a "bookworm." And so in celebration of that hard-earned title, books are what I plan to examine (review) the most. They are my first true love.

I won't limit myself, though. Film, television, people, politics, society, or anything at all is fair game if it piques my interest. I can't promise that what I have to say is interesting, or original. But I'm willing to put forth my best effort, and see what happens.

I want to begin by examining my hopes and fears for this blog. And so I will, because after all I am the one in charge here.

I hope that I do have an original thought bouncing around in my head somewhere, and that someday it will escape. I hope that through hours of dreadful writing, I will learn to write well. I hope that some day I might write something worthy of a reader comment. Wait, no. First, I hope that some day I might write something worthy of a reader.

I fear that I'll have nothing to say, or whatever I do say will be so awful it'll make my imaginary readers regret having sacrificed precious moments of their lives to read it. I fear that I will give up before I've even begun, as I so often do.

Well, there they are, sent out into the universe where I can never get them back. It's good this way. It's a healthy beginning. Let the examining begin. Or continue...?
